Beach Palm ~ St Lucia – Tropical Beach Scene

You may recognize this image as being the flip side of its sunset twin as they are both shot from pretty much the same location but at opposite ends of the say. One simply can’t walk along this beach and not be inspired by nature’s beauty in the subtly varied ways it manifests from one moment to the next.
Because our nicest beaches are on the sheltered west of Saint Lucia the beach and the palm trees that line it are bathed with beautiful sunlight in the mornings that make the leaves appear to shimmer and glisten as they flutter in the breeze. 1
So on this morning I decided to skip my morning walk and instead come out with my cameras so I could capture the morning beauty. The ladies who keep the beach clean and tidy in the morning were all very surprised to see this side of me as they had only ever seen me as just another person quietly walking the beach to keep toned and fit.
They all wanted to know what exactly was I shooting and why was I shooting it. But funny enough when I asked if they would love to be in the shot they all piped up – NO! … complete with hearty cackles to match the exuberance of their no!!
With that out of the way I went on to shoot a series of images but with such beautiful scenery for my canvas I’m sure you can imagine that this shot was not very hard to come by. However although it can be considered a simple shot I had to watch out for the changing light as well as catching the surf at just the right moment as it rolled up on the sea shore.
For me this is yet another beautiful image capture that displays the magic of my Caribbean Island Paradise and I am delighted to share it with you.
