Mornings on Vigie Beach in Saint Lucia are truly Special. If you arrive at the crack of dawn you have the pleasure of sharing these beautiful outdoors with the other regular beach goers who also arrive around this same time most mornings.
But if you wait until a little later when most other persons have gine back home to prepare for work you will have the beach mostly to yourself. By this time the sun is higher in the sky and you can feel its radiant glow coursing all over your body and warming you up seemingly from the inside out. Yet it’s early enough that this isn’t a searing heat.
I generally prefer this time of the morning as by then the golden glow of the early morning sun has transformed into a whiter and brighter light that reveals the typical blues and greens of this Tropical Paradise I have the pleasure of calling home.
On this morning I had skipped my morning walk so I could get out and create this image that I share with you. Some days the surf comes in and gently laps at the seashore, however this was not one of those mornings. The ocean was instead more energetic and the surf was rolling up higher on the shore than it usually does. In doing so the surf created some beautiful frothy swirls that were a sheer delight to walk through. As you walk you would feel yourself sinking just a bit into the sand while at the same time the surf cascading against your feet would create an additional resistance that requires just that extra bit of effort as you traverse the beach.
Little wonder it’s so easy to be lost in thought on morning beach walks such as this and to find inspiration in the process.
I invite you to feel the energy right through this picture. Imagine yourself feeling the tingly coolness of the surf in contrast to the radiant warmth of the sunshine enveloping you from above. And just maybe if you immerse yourself in this scene wherever you might be you just might be inspired too!
